Daichi's cave (p, only WG and Kagome)

He felt… strangely at peace. Waking up to the sounds of the owls hooting in the night, he glanced towards the entrance to his cave. It was small, hardly six feet by nine, sand covering the floor. A large boulder was the roof of the tiny, natural cave.

Stretching, he threw off his blankets and grabbed one of his fans from the low shelving that Daichi had etched into the stone wall. He tucked it into the back of his belt and crawled out of his cave, rubbing his eyes. The cool night air swept over him, a breeze sweeping over his bare chest.

“Ah,” he sighed, rotating his wrists to crack them. “There’s nothing better than a nice, peaceful evening hunt!”

He walked several yards away from his cave and then bent down into a crouch, listening to the night wind. He waited… and waited… and waited. Suddenly, there was a slight stirring from under a nearby rock. He slowly turned towards the sound and in the darkness of the night; he saw a tiny scorpion crawling out from underneath a boulder.

With the speed of an adder, Daichi reached back and whipped out his fan, throwing it at the scorpion. It hit with surprising accuracy, cutting the bug in half. Smiling to himself, Daichi stood and walked over to the dead scorpion, picking up the body as well as his fan. Taking a bit out of the bug’s head, he cleaned the metal edge of the fan on his pants.

Anzen has helped me once again, he thought as he finished downing the scorpion. Anzen was one of the three fans that Daichi possessed. It had a wooden frame and ribs, but the rest was all metal and the top was as sharp as a sword’s edge.

Sighing to himself, he looked around, his red eyes already adjusted well to the dark. Daichi had night vision like no other, which was a trait that he’d inherited from his mother’s family, not that they were anything more than a line of Weapon Specialists.

Cursing under his breath, Daichi pushed the thought of his mother out of his mind. No reason to think about them. They’re taking care of Kirin and Gyo… they are no longer associated with me.

Kagome walked into the night air, the ripening moon behind her, casting her into the light of it, alluminating her from the night. She was travveling alone for the first time in months. There was no counter part this time, just her on her owm mission alone. But not a mission given to her, a mission that was personal. One that would carry her to the sand village.

She had been walking for days, and she was finally in the clutches of the villager, her old home. The place where her family was taken away from her. Her long purple dark hair was tied down and put under her black and red cloak, the cloak of the akatsuki; one that struck fear into the hearts of many. Her face was hidden by the worn by the akatsuki, hung with beeded fabrics, to further conceal her identity. She oved nights like this, being free to do what she wanted without fear of not being appoved of by others. She knew that one day she would further persue this dream and one day slay the head of her akatsuki, and assume his rank.

The almost full moon was shaded by a sudden group of clouds, plunging the world into temparary darkness. Kagome was not affected as her extreme night vision detected almost no difference. She continued to walk on, unfased by the jutting rocks and the creatures that drew close to her. If anything would come to close, she would simply crush it with her foot, smiling as it died. She felt powerful, but knew that not fully, she still had her weak point, one she would never reveal, not to any one, for the one who knew this could unravel her into who she once was; a caring person who did not like killing. This is not what she wanted to be, not since she had to avenge her family, she would never go back to that state of mind.

Kagome did not pause for a second as the path she was walking ended and became the edge of a cliff. Continuing as if she did not notice the change she stepped of the edge, her facial expression not changing in the slightest as she moved from ground to the open air. The only emotion she could show was her evil smile as she did fall. As Kagome fell, the moon burst through the clouds, reching their end, and shining on the young girl, as she flew towards the earth below, not scared in the least. As the ground grew within twenty feet, the young shot her hands out to each side of her, as sand shot out of her two sleeves, forming a more slanted pathway. Kagome slid down its hard surface to the ground, unfased, as the sand slid from its position back to her sleaves, where she kept it in many pockets, also allowing it to form into armour over her skin.

Kagome walked slowly again, slowly nearing a cave, where she heard a click noise. Kagomes eyes closed as her emense brain went to work, replaying the sound once more in her head. It was not the sound of anything natural, no, that was a weapon, very similar to one of her own, but much smaller; a fan. Kagome shot forward into the dark, moving over terrain quickly, and into the little grove of trees, to the place where the sound was made. Kagome stopped suddenly, having run silently towards the place where the sound stll echoed in her mind. She was suprissed to see a young boy, wearing nothing over his chest, eating the insides of a scorpion. Kagome would gag, but she did not feel anything from the site, but a nudge from her evil self. He had used a fan to kill the scorpion, and she could tell by the way he sat that he was a shinobi. But did he have any potential, or could she just kill him like she wanted to.

"You used a fan boy." She said, using boy as his name, even though there was only a two years difference. How she saw it, power was all that mattered, not names.
"But in how many other ways can you use that," she asked in an evil sounding voice, close to a sarcastic whisper...

Daichi turned to her, one of the scorpion’s legs hanging out of his mouth. His mouth almost dropped open, her beauty astonishing him. She stood just behind him, dressed in the red and black cloak of the Akatsuki. Her hair was tied back to be kept out of her face, its purple color reflecting some of the moonlight.

Such beautiful hair, he thought. He wanted to reach out and touch it, but he held his hands at his sides, fighting any temptation.

“A fan?” he asked stupidly, holding up Anzen. “Yes, I do use fans… they are my tools…”

Now he was blabbering, her looks catching him off guard for just a moment. Straightening his back, he swallowed the remains of the scorpion and hissed, “My name is Daichi… Daichi Geikko; Not ‘boy’. What do you want here, Akatsuki?”

Kagome hated his ease around her. He should be affraid, he was a fool. She did not fight the urge to kick the boy. Kagome's leg shot out, smacking the boy in the gut, and throwing him a couple of yards forward, saying as she did,
"I dont care about your name, does it look like I do," she said, frighteningly easily, as if there was an empt anger. Kagome was capable of feeling anger and all of the negative emotions, but she still tried to hide them, as anger clouded her otherwise flawless thinking.

"Show me what you can do with those fans boy" She said in a challenging voice...
"Put a scratch on me"... if he could show that he had any potential, then she would consider not killing him, otherwise she would entertain herself with killing him...

Daichi felt some of the left over scorpion starting to come up his throat as she kicked him. He slammed into one of the trees, his back cracking loudly. She was challenging him. Why? Was it because she saw him use his fans?

Grunting, he got up and walked over to where Anzen lay in the sand. Just as he started to bend down, he quickly grabbed Anzen’s frame and flung his body at her’s. As he did, his arm shot up, his hands making the correct signs for Reppushou. Breathing into his fingers, he unleashed Anzen, its speed doubled after being infused with chakra.

Kagome smiled at the boys attemps to make an impact on her. She simply did nothing until the fan was at point blank range, at which point a thin rope of sand flung itself from her sleave, and smacked the fan out of the way, not letting it go however. Instead the sand encirlced itself around the fan, and whipped back into her sleave.
"You think that simply throwing a weapon like a fan will effect some one like me, even at that speed." In reality she was slightly impressed how he used his jutsu to maximise the speed of the thrown weapon, but not that he would waist his chakra to do so against her. The boy was now approaching her, full on.
"Your once again underestimating me," she said with a smile as she pulled out a scroll.
"Ill show you how to use a fan boy." Just as she said that she jumped back and opened the scroll, biting her finger causing a slight blood flow. She then quickly wiped the blood across the scrolls surface, causing it to explode into smoke, revealing a huge fan, standin at about four feet tall. She then slung it against the ground, causing the groung to crack under its impact...

When he saw what she was doing, he tried to stop himself, but found himself sliding towards the fan and the cracking ground. Gritting his teeth, he hissed and pulled Aizu out from where it and Gouka, one of his paper fans. He hated to use them in battle, but now he had no choice.

Daichi waited until he was only a few inches from the broken ground to attack. He went down on his knees, putting out his foot to stop him just before the crack. As he skidded to a stop, fuzzed his chakra into Aizu’s leaf and unleashed a huge gust of wind. Kamaitachi it was called. He waited for the tornado that was to come after the gust.

Kagome smiled as the boy drew nearer, he did not learn the first time that she should not be underestimated it seems. Quickly Kagome formed a single seal, causing white smoke to once again explode next to her, as a kage bunshin was brought to life. Then both the clone and her formed another set of hand seals, and waited for the boy to draw nearer. As the boy came within his range of attack, only a few inches away, the clone exploded into fire, causing the real Kagome to also explode, leaving a log that burst into flame just before erupting and bursting into small splinters.

Kagome watched from far enough away as the clone exploded next to the boy.
"He would be very lucky to survive that, as it is near impossible" she said in a voice that she herself could hardly hear...

Fire exploded all around him, causing him to cry out. He threw up his arms to protect his face and felt himself being blown backwards, but suddenly much of the smoke was suddenly cleared away. His Kamaitachi had hit a tree, causing the chakra tornado to form. It was sucking up the smoke, clearing his vision.

Smiling, he leapt up and shouted, “Where are you Akatsuki?”

Suddenly, he felt a burning sensation on her neck. He reached up and found that his skin had been burned, blood oozing out from a deep gash on his jaw line. Shuddering, he went down on his knees, trying to control his panic.

Why now? Why did I have to be injured? I don’t wanna die, not yet, he thought. His anger welled up inside, their flames burning in his red eyes.

He let out a yell, full of pain and the anguish of his exile, the many lonely years that he had spent, watching his brothers grow up being loved, while he was not.

Kagome grinned as he realized the cut she had caused from the Bunshin Bakuha no jutsu. But her face broke out into a full out smile as he started to cry out with pain that was so familier to her, pain that she had once dealt with. She knew that it took this type of pain to become truly strong, even if he did not show amazing potential in the start. Kagome could liken to this, she was no where near strong in the beginning, but now look where she was, she was an elite ninja from the akatsuki. She knew also that her training him would be easy. He used fans and wind jutsu, they were very alike in a lot of ways, but Kagome needed one last test, he was not very elite or trained in the ninja ways, and his stamina was not very reliable. But these were things that could be worked on, things that could be taught. However, the pain and possible curruption could never be taught, it moved through the boys veins like a kekkei genkei, something that cannot be learned, and Kagome could work with that perfectly.

Kagome shot out from her location in a near by tree to infront of the kneeling boy, landing very near him, and striking him in the face with her foot, as a well aimed kick.
"whats that pain in your voice boy, Daichi, tell me." She looked at him with the eye of a snake as she kneeled down beside him, blood trickeling from his face...
"tell me boy, what has been done to you" Kagome stood back up, to her position, now towering over the boy, looking at him with evil intent... killing intent...

“My parents… they hate me… they abandoned me… they brought those two into the world and left me behind while they enjoy their happy little lives,” Daichi spat, the word pouring out of his mouth.

“I almost was able to get rid of Kirin, but Father… oh… Father… he just had to bring him back with him. Gyo and Kirin… my younger brothers. I have watched them in silence for the past six years, they never knowing who am I or what I should mean to them… what they mean to me…”

“Our parents will corrupt them… they will destroy their wills and souls! They will abandon them just like they did me!”

He panted, his eyes still fixed on the woman. “What do you care, Akatsuki? What does it matter to a ninja like you?”

Kagome loved the words as they came from his mouth, but at the same time, she was angered by his words. Not because of his words, but because she had experienced almost the same thing when she was young and there for knew what he was going through, looking upon a family that did not know or care about her existance. Kagome once again bent down to level with the boy, saying,
"Boy, have you ever thought about power?" Kagome left the question hanging before resuming it, just before he could answer.
"Do you want to avenge the way your life has been taken away from you, do you want to become powerful boy, because this pain your feeling is a rare experience that most cannot have, a feeling that acts as another form of energy, that unlike anything normal, does not fade as it is used. Do you want to be able to access this power at will." Again the young girl left the question hanging, waiting for the boys responce...

“Power?” he whispered. “I want power so people will respect me. My parents… the people… I want them to revere me as someone who is strong.”

“Yes, I do want that kind of power.”

He reached up and scratched his head, his red hair swishing back and forth. Shaking his head, he looked up at her again and added, “When I was young, my father told me that my name meant ‘great’. I always tried to live up to that standard. And I will continue to do so. Greatness is what I want.”

Kagome smiled as her hand left its position, and moved down to the boys bare chest, moving it up from his belly botton until it reached his face, at which point she moved it over the cut, now bleeding profusly. Her hands turned a light green, glowing with chakra, and by the time her hand had moved away from the cut, it was nothing but a small scrape that had already started to form a scab. Then she smiled, the boy was fit, and thus he had what it took to harness physical power.

"But do you want to avenge your life, do you want to kill, revive yourself, show them that you do exist. Do you want a chance to re appeare in their lives. Do you want to fulfill your destiney, and erase the clutches from which your parents hold your other siblings"

It was then when kagome would answer the question of why she cared. Kagome moved her hand to the boys shoulder, feeling his warm skin touch hers, warm with the passion of what he had just expressed.
"When i was young, I was a nothing. No one saw me for me. I was the main branch of my clan, the famous Sabaku clan of the sand. But i was nothing, I scored the best grades in the ninja academy, but i was to weak to hurt anyone. But one day i decided that i wanted my own parents to notice me," Kagome's hand slip down to the ground, removing her touch from the boys shoulder.
"And after that, after I had worked so hard in achieving acceptance from my own family, my two siblings killed my whole family, and many of our clan members, never once allowing me to show off what I had learned." Kagome choked back pain that she had hidden from herself for years, ashamed that she was feeling this way. She was not weak, and she would not appeare that way.

Kagome stood now, once again towering over the boy, saying as she rose,
"What will you do for power boy"...

He shivered when her hand touched his shoulder. What she had experienced… it was so much like his own. She understood what he’d gone through…

“I would do anything for power,” Daichi murmured. “I would go anywhere, do anything… as long as I became powerful enough to release my brothers from their clutches. I will do anything.”

He knelt back onto his heels. “Can you teach me?”

Kagome smiled, she had done her duty. She had gotten yet another to feel their pain as nothing but a very powerful weapon, a weapon that could cut through anything if used well. But if used poorly could be the end of the wielder.
"Boy, I dont think you have what it takes to do what i would require of you. Is killing your parents all you want to achieve, or do you want to actually be recognized among the world as strong, and powerful." Kagome spoke in an inspiring voice, able to turn almost anyone who she had caught in her curruptive words to the easy pathway to quick power.

"But the answer boy, is yes! I will raise you to be able to slay any ninja, I will teach you to use your anger and pain as a second energy, a more powerful energy."

He smiled. “My anger runs deeper than just my parents… it runs through every vein in my body, every inch of blood that I have. It is harbored against all of Sunagakure. They did not help me in my time of need. Instead, they threw me out, banished me to live here, on the outskirts.”

“Slay any ninja? That sounds good to me…”

A deep glimmer of something dark and sinister grew in his eyes, rising up from where they had been hidden in the red depths for so long.

Kagome smiled.
"Good, thats what i wanted to hear" she said with a full smile.
"then follow me, we have a lot to do, and very little time" She said as she started to walk away, kneeling down to where she had dropped her akatsuki hat, picked it up and walked into the darkness, placing the hat on herself, headed towards the dessert that surrounded the village.

Kagome smiled.
"Good, thats what i wanted to hear" she said with a full smile.
"then follow me, we have a lot to do, and very little time" She said as she started to walk away, kneeling down to where she had dropped her akatsuki hat, picked it up and walked into the darkness, placing the hat on herself, headed towards the dessert that surrounded the village.

Standing, Daichi watched her disappear into the dark. Such beauty… and so like him. She understood everything about him, everything he’d gone through.

He smiled to himself and picked up Aizu from where he’d dropped it earlier. Tucking it into the back of his belt, he followed her into the dark.

Kagome side glanced the boy as he walked up to her, causing the fan she had taken from him to fall to the ground, covered by a small pile of sand. Kagome then walked forward, not looking back until about ten minutes later when she stopped for it was to late, and she needed for the boy to sleep, for she could see that after the fight he was tired, and he needed rest.

"Ok boy, here is fine" she said pointing to the last rock before the open dessert began.
"You can sleep there" she said and with that she sat down, used to not needing sleep or getting it, and instead running all through the night.
"In the morning we will start training"...

Picking up Anzen, he sat down a few feet from her. Lying on his back, he thought, Tomorrow… training starts tomorrow.

He smiled to himself, tracing the tiny cross that was tattooed just above his hip. The power will soon come… I can feel it. His eyes fluttered closed, his body exhausted as he fell asleep.

Kagome's eyes grew narrow as he fell asleep. She could not help but notice his finly toned muscle and his tatoo that fit his body perfectly. But as soon as she knew that he was asleep, her hands formed a seal, causing the sand to move slowly up to him, sliding over his chest, then simply, with another seal, the sand molded into his body, not able to be noticed. She had to ensure that she could protect him now. She had let him into her heart, and she would not loose another so like herself. This feeling was so rare, truly like a kekkei genkei, only few have it, and those few have the ability to access power that can not be learned.

Kagome sat awake until the sun moved over the crest of the dessert. She stood up, not stretching or anything, just simply stood up and started to walk to a place where she could more easily see where they were in realatio to the village...

Daichi stirred little in his sleep, his dreams filled with the feelings of power, raw power that could give him all he wanted.

His eyes fluttered open, his inner alarm going off at sunrise as it always did. Sitting up, he blinked several times, stretching his arms back until he heard his shoulders crack. He shook out his arms and then turned his head quickly, cracking his neck. Sighing, he stood, looking around for the woman.

Kagome heard the boy arise, and turned back towards his location saying,
"Morning boy" in a sarcastic voice. Its time we move... we need to start, but not so close to the village... follw me...

With that Kagome bolted off into the desert, the heat waves covering her up, as she had planned, hoping the boy would follow him. The sun was exploding with heat over the desert, a feeling that Kagome had not experienced in quite a long time, she hated it. She hated everything, she told herself. She could not let one boy into her clutches, and try to protect him, he was useless. Kagome tried to fool herself, but knew that she wanted to help this boy achieve power, not because she wanted to help him, but because she knew that as soon as power consumed him, he would want more than just what she had presented, and at that time, he would know that the only way to gain full power, was to atack her. This is what Kagome wanted to happen. She knew that she could not let this boy become her own fate, but she did want to see him thrive within the grasp of hate...
